Willamette Speedway Car Show At Heritage Mall Set For Saturday March 30th

Albany, Oregon- The annual car show for Lebanon’s Willamette Speedway is right around the corner and will once again take place at the Heritage Mall in downtown Albany. This is a perfect opportunity to get up close to several cars that will be competing on a regular basis at Willamette while they all are nice and shiny. However the 2013 edition of the show will only happen on Saturday March 30th due to the facility being closed on Sunday the 31st.
“Unfortunately this year we are only going to be able to have the car show one day instead of two as in years past,” commented Chris Nofziger the Willamette Speedway General Manager, “but nonetheless it will be a fun occasion. We get to be around people we haven’t seen for some time and it’s a great way to get together before the season starts back up in April.”
Vehicles will be allowed to move in on Friday the 29th after the Heritage Mall is closed for the night at 8:00 PM. All cars must be picked up after the show is over on Saturday the 30th which also happens to be at 8:00 PM.
All cars are welcomed to show up including any Karts that will be participating in the outdoor season. For information on entering into the show feel free to contact Willamette Speedway General Manager Chris Nofziger at (541) 405-6944 to reserve a spot but keep in mind space is limited. Willamette Speedway is expected to begin the season on Saturday April 6th for a test and tune date while the first race of 2013 will be Saturday the 13th.

The Willamette Speedway has operated since the 1960’s and is a facility where high car counts and great racing are the norm. The venue will hosts weekly action comprising of DIRTcar Late Models, IMCA Modifieds, Sportsman, Super Sports, Street Stocks, and Mini Trucks.
