Lebanon, Oregon- The 2013 season is almost upon us at Willamette Speedway. Before any racing action will take place a Test and Tune play date will be the first time fans can see cars on the track on Saturday April 6th weather permitting. The Lebanon facility will give a chance for drivers to get themselves comfortable with the track after nearly six months since the last race. Scheduled to place on Sunday the 7th will be an open practice for the Karts.

“The practice date is always fun because you see old and new faces,” commented Chris Nofziger, General Manager of Willamette Speedway, “you also see the new paint schemes and graphic designs. It should be a great event.”

On Saturday general admission is free to all spectators wishing to sit in the grandstands and watch practice. Any drivers wishing to participate in the event will pay a $25 entry fee while pit passes are $15. Everything is scheduled to begin at 4:00 PM and last until Dusk.

For Sunday’s Kart practice the times are scheduled to be from Noon until 4:00 PM. Car and driver entries are $20.00 and Pit Passes will cost $10.00. This event is also weather permitting.

The following Saturday April 13th will mark the first race of the season. That evening will feature the DIRTcar Super Late Models, IMCA Modifieds, Sportsman, Street Stocks, and the return of the Super Sports and will be a non-point affair. On Sunday the 14th is expected to be another practice date for the Karts before their season opener on Friday the 19th.

The Willamette Speedway has operated since the 1960’s and is a facility where high car counts and great racing are the norm. The venue will hosts weekly action comprising of DIRTcar Late Models, IMCA Modifieds, Sportsman, Super Sports, Street Stocks, and Mini Trucks.
