Willamette Speedway Doubleheader For NELMS This Weekend

Lebanon, Oregon- The Northwest Extreme Late Model Series returns to action this Friday July 25th and Saturday the 26th as they visit the Willamette Speedway. The tour has already visited the historic 1/3-mile once this year, on June 14th, competing alongside the X-Factor Race Cars Super Late Models but this time the Super Late Models will have the weekend off.
Already in 2014 Greg Walters has won five main events, all coming at Sunset Speedway Park, while Brad Martin still continues to lead NELMS in the point standings. Phillip Johnson, Collen Winebarger, and Shaun Mayea have all scored one triumph a piece in the current campaign.
The Northwest Extreme Late Model Series has visited the Willamette Speedway a total of thirteen times since 2010 five of which have been co-sanctioned with the local Super Late Models. In fact the first race in the tour’s entire history was ran at Willamette on April 24th, 2010.
In those thirteen races there have been seven different winners with five of them winning on more than one occasion. Jason Wines has the most series wins with a total of three while Jerry Schram, Greg Walters, Russ Sell, and Trevor Glaser have each won twice. Rob Mayea and Collen Winebarger are the only drivers to have won once with the organization when it has visited Willamette.
Racing will start around 6:30 PM on Friday while Saturday will be the normal 6:00 start time. Tickets each day are Adults $12.00, Seniors/Military/Juniors (13-17) $10.00, Youths (Ages 12-6) $5.00, and Children under the age of 5 are FREE and a Family Pass will be offered for two Adults and up to four Youths for just $35.00.
