Willamette Speedway would host some great racing on Saturday July 25th. The 1/3-mile clay oval would have a great crowd in attendance to watch the IMCA Modifieds, Super Sport, Sportsman, and Street Stocks roar around the track.

After so many runner-up finishes and bad luck in 2015 Craig Cassell of Albany finally won his first IMCA Modified race of the season. Cassell would keep back the advances of Lebanon's Kyle Yeack, who was driving for car owner Lester Free in the Free Racing #30 entry. It was a much needed win for Craig and the Ester Lee Motel of Lincoln City/Corvallis Seed & Feed/Dr. Mary Harada Breast Cancer Specialist/Debra Herndon Family Nurse Practitioner #25 Rocket by Ruhlman team.

Gil Pickett returned to his winning ways in the Super Sports after a brief absence. The Picket Custom Cabinets #82 Swartz kept back all challengers to win his sixth victory of the season. Jeff Rash collected his third victory of the campaign in the Sportsman in the Hackney Racing/Wirth Wireless #1 Swartz.

Kyle Yeack may not have won in the Modifieds but he did get the job done in the Street Stocks. It would the seventh time that Yeack would best the field in his Laura Gillott at Keller Williams Reality/Unlimited Business Service/Cascade Outdoor Power Equipment #47 Cutlass.

The Crocker's Cars Summer Showdown is next for Willamette Speedway on Friday July 31st and Saturday August 1st. This is one of he biggest Kart races in the Pacific Northwest. General Admission is FREE both nights.

Pit Passes are the normal $10.00 and Car and Driver fees will be the standard $30.00 per night. The Pit Gate will open up around 4:00 PM and racing is scheduled to begin around 6:30 each night. Log on to www.trophymotorsports.com for the latest news and information.
