Lebanon, Oregon- Willamette Speedway returned to racing on Saturday, July 17th. It was a quick turnaround due to the famed Lebanon facility hosting a Speedweek Northwest bout on Tuesday night. Saturday classes included Late Models, IMCA Modifieds, Super Sports, Sportsman, Street Stocks, and IMCA Sport Compacts.

Rob Campos scored a huge victory in the Late Model division. The theme of no repeat winners continued in the division at the Scio pilot made it four winners in four races. Jordan Wright, from Toledo, was scored the runner-up over Salem chauffeur B.J. Donofrio in third. Portland veteran Jody Tanner and Reedsport traveler Mike Taylor were the rest of the top five in the fourth and fifth positions.

Dustin Cady scored his second straight win in the IMCA Modified ranks. He is the first multi-feature winner at the track this year and now has two wins in KMJ Performance Oregon State and Shaw Race Cars Western Region competition. Mark Gaylord, hailing from Boring, and Olympia, Washington visitor Tyson Blood were second and third in the finishing order. Of Woodland, Washington, Devon Reed grabbed fourth with fifth going to La Pine’s Dan Philpott in fifth.

For the Super Sports, Terry Sanders flexed his muscles in victory lane once again. The Stayton driver now has three straight wins in the division. Salem veteran Greg Heinrichs was at the finish line, in second, with Randy Barley from Albany, in third. Brad Lehto beat out Chad Slover, from Lebanon, for fourth place.

In Sportsman action, Corvallis’ Ryan Emry returned to victory lane. Ryan is the third driver in four races to top the field. Greg Schellhorn, from Eugene, was credited with second, with third going to Chad Slover. From the coastal city of Walport, Michael Lavery ended his night fourth over fifth finishing Marcola motorist Roger Bell.

Justin Evans procured his third win of the 2021 Street Stock campaign. The Lebanon driver has been sensational in all of his appearances this season. Doug Scott and Eric Johnston were second and third in the main event.

Bradley Martin of Dexter had an incredible week at Willamette. He backed up his Tuesday night win with another trip to victory lane on Saturday night. He now has three triumphs at the track.

Willamette Speedway’s next round of action is scheduled for Saturday, July 24th. Classes on the bill will include IMCA Modifieds, IMCA Stock Cars, Super Sports, IMCA Northern Sport Mods, and IMCA Sport Compacts. Advanced tickets can be purchased through the track website or on the day of the event. Front Gate purchases are CASH ONLY, but there is an ATM available on site. For more information, log on to the track website or follow the Facebook page.
