Extreme Fire & Rescue 50/50 Raffle This Saturday July 28th At Rick Barnes Memorial

Lebanon, Oregon- Longtime Willamette Speedway fire and safety crew Extreme Fire & Rescue will be hosting the 50/50 raffle this Saturday, July 28th during the Rick Barnes Memorial. Fifty-percent of all money will go to the winner while the other fifty-percent goes towards the crew. Super Late Models, IMCA Modifieds, Super Sports, Sportsman, Street Stocks, and Hornets will occupy the historic 1/3-mile clay oval.
One of the main things that Extreme Fire & Rescue are trying to raise funds for are new fire suits. They are looking to buy two new ones for their team. If you are unable to make the fundraiser or would like to contribute a donation feel free to contact Chris Van Sant at (541)-554-6992.
“Our fire suits run around $1200.00 each and we have to keep upgrading them because we use them so much,” commented Extreme Fire & Rescue owner Doug Van Sant, “we’re practically all volunteer based and use what little money we get to go back into the program for fuel, maintenance, and things like that.”
Extreme Fire & Rescue is a private contacted company that has served the Pacific Northwest for over twenty years. Beginning at the now closed Eugene Speedway they have been the hired safety crew at Willamette Speedway since 1997. Doug Van Sant, the current owner and operator, has been in charge for twenty years.
Front Gates open at 3:00 PM with Racing around 6:00. Tickets are $14.00 for Adults, Junior/Military/Senior $10.00, Youth (6-12) $5.00, 5 and Under FREE, and a Family Pass (2 Adults and up to 4 Youths) $35.00.
