Willamette Hosts Two Nights Of Racing This Weekend Including Fight Hunger Night On Saturday May 3rd

Lebanon, Oregon- Willamette Speedway will quite busy over the course of Friday May 2nd and Saturday the 3rd. Friday night will kick things off with the 2014 Season Opener for the Karts that was originally scheduled for April 18th but was lost due to weather. Then things will heat up Saturday night with the X-Factor Race Cars Super Late Models, Wirth Wireless IMCA Modifieds, Albany & Eastern Railroad Sportsman, and Street Stocks on the 1/3-mile clay oval. Saturday night will be Fight Hunger Night so if you bring a can of non-perishable food you will receive $2.00 off you admission.
General admission to the Friday Kart race will be FREE of charge. Pit Passes are $10.00 and Car and Driver fees will be $30.00. The Pit Gate will open up around 4:00 PM and Racing is scheduled to begin around 6:30.
Joey Tanner dominated the X-Factor Race Cars Super Late Models feature by nearly lapping the entire field at the Season Opener on April 12th with Kyle Yeack and Matt Mitchell would put on a heck of a show that same night in the Wirth Wireless IMCA Modifieds with Yeack picking up the win. And Ron Berry would be victorious in Sportsman competition while Justin Evans opened the season up in the Street Stocks with a triumph.
On Saturday the Pit Gates will open at 1:00 PM, the Pit Meeting will take place at 2:30, Front Gates open at 3:30, and Racing starts at 6:00. Tickets for this event are Adults $12.00, Seniors/Military/Juniors (13-18) $10.00, Youths (Ages 12-6) $5.00, and Children under the age of 5 are FREE and a family pass will be offered for two Adults and up to four Youths for just $35.00.
