Friday August 8th Willamette Kart Invitational List Revealed

Lebanon, Oregon- On Friday August 8th Willamette Speedway will be having a handful of Kage Karts on tap for one of the support classes when the American Sprint Car Series-Northwest Region returns to the famed 1/3-mile clay oval. Eleven drivers were selected by the Willamette Speedway staff based off of racing credentials, as well as on track performance this season, and all eleven are some of the best in the entire Pacific Northwest. The reason for a limited number of drivers was due to time constraints as the Kage Karts are a supporting class while the Sprint Cars are the headline card during the evening. Below this release is the list of the selected drivers in alphabetical order by their last names.

Due to time restraints a special format will be utilized for the Karts. In fact it will be the exact same format that the ASCS Sprint Cars will use. That means there will be just one heat race for each team versus two on a normal Kart night. The field will be split in half with six cars participating in the first heat and the other five in the second, lineups will be based off of a random pill draw. The top four in passing and finishing points will get to participate in the trophy dash.

This is a non-point event for the Kage Karts. Kart and Driver fees are $40.00 and Pit Passes are $30.00. We do want to let all the Kage Kart teams no that everyone will pitting in the same general location which is going to be on the outside of turn three.
