Willamette Speedway Returns To Racing For Fall Frenzy; Action On Friday August 30th And Saturday The 31st

Lebanon, Oregon- After a couple of weeks off of racing the staff, drivers, teams, and fans are all excited to see action return to Willamette Speedway. This weekend the historical 1/3-mile clay oval will be in action for both Friday, August 30th and Saturday, the 31st. It will feature a full card of competition both nights. Classes include the Super Late Models, IMCA Modifieds, and Super Sports on Friday and joining those three classes on Saturday will be the Sportsman. Also on hand for both evenings will be the Iron Giant Street Stock Series and the Big Sky Landscaping IMCA Stock Car Series.

On Friday the Pit Gates open at 2:00 PM, Front Gates 5:00, and Racing at 6:00. On Saturday the Front Gates open at 4:00 PM and Racing at starts at 5:00. Tickets both nights are $14.00 for Adults, Seniors (62+)/Military/Juniors (13-17) $10.00, Youths (6-12) $5.00, and Kids (5 or Under) FREE with a Family Pass (2 Adults and up to 4 Youths) being offered for $35.00

Joey Tanner has the lead in both Super Late Model points and wins. The Portland phenom has amassed six victories to his credit in 2019 at Willamette. Justin Duty and Steve Moore join Joey on that same list as two-time winners. Thomas Hunziker, McLain Beaudoin, Collen Winebarger, and Rob Mayea have had the honor to best the field just once.

In IMCA Modified competition, Bricen James leads the win column and the points table. James has an impressive total of seven triumphs. Dustin Cady and Collen Winebarger each have two victories to their credit. The list of single race victors includes Grey Ferrando, John Campos, and Kellen Chadwick.

B.J. Donofrio has been the man on a rampage in the Super Sports. Donofrio has picked up eight winner’s checks in the current campaign. Vahn Stone has done so twice while James Slover, Randy Barley, and Doug Elkins all have won once. In the Sportsman classification, Tom Yeack still has the most wins with a total of six. Ryan Emry and Jeff Rash have managed to join him a multi-race winner, with two each. Kent Emry, Randy Boyd, Brian Brown, and Stacy Kreger have gotten the mission to accomplish just one time this year.

In local Street Stock racing Justin Evans has put together a notable seven-win season. Mikey Burnham and McKenzie Lockhart are both two-time winners in 2019. Dakota Godard, Ken Fox, Kevin Roberts, Kelly McDonald, and David Cronk are drivers with just a single victory. The Big Sky Landscaping IMCA Stock Car Series has been to Lebanon five times this year and have had four different winners. Sean Gentry leads the group with two visits to victory lane. Jerry Schram, Dakota Godard, and Brian Cronk all beat the rest of the field just once.
